San Lucas Treetop Dining Experience | 6 Course Tasting Menu

A chef-curated tasting menu served inside a private glass pod suspended in the Monteverde cloud forest. The 6-course Regions of Costa Rica menu at San Lucas Treetop Dining is the shortest way into one of the most talked-about tables in Central America, and the only one offered at lunch as well as dinner.

The menu

Six courses inspired by Costa Rica's regions and landscapes, built on seasonal local ingredients. The menu evolves over time, so each visit can be different. Wine pairings, cocktails, beer, smoothies, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks are available to order.

The setting

Every table sits in its own fully enclosed, weather-protected glass pod with panoramic forest views, so rain never cancels your meal. All pods are identical. Come at 12:30 PM to see the canopy in daylight, or at 8:30 PM for the forest at night. San Lucas is located at Chira Glamping Hotel in Monteverde and is wheelchair accessible throughout. Good to know

1. Seatings at 12:30 PM (lunch) and 8:30 PM (dinner). The meal lasts about 90 to 120 minutes.
2. Dress code: smart casual.
3. Children are welcome (recommended from age 5) and pay the adult price.
4. Only one menu is served per table, and each guest orders their own tasting menu.
5. Dietary options: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-friendly (not certified gluten-free), lactose-free, shellfish-free and mild nut allergies. Corn, onion, garlic, beet, sunflower, olive oil, tomato, sugar, sweet pepper, celery, carrot and mild spice cannot be replaced. Guests with severe allergies (gluten, seeds or nuts) are advised not to book because of cross-contamination risk. Tell us your restrictions when booking.
6. Free parking on site. Transportation is not included; ask us if you need a transfer from your hotel.
7. Bring your own wine: corkage of $35 plus tax per bottle, paid at the restaurant.
8. Pets are not permitted.
