Ben Tre

Ben Tre is a former city in the Vinh Long province in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. In 2025, the Vietnamese government issued a resolution to merge the former Ben Tre Province with the rest of Vinh Long. Located 85 kilometers (53 mi) southwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the city covers an area of 65.75 km2 and has a population of 124,499 at the 2019 census. Ben Tre is connected to the surrounding provinces by the Rach Mieu Bridge and is also traversed by National Highway 60.
