Vinh Long is a city in the Mekong Delta of southern Vietnam, between two branches of the Mekong River. It is surrounded by canals, fruit orchards and river islands that can be explored by boat and bicycle. Visitors come for homestays, tropical fruit gardens, small craft workshops and a glimpse of everyday delta life, as well as the local floating markets and riverside cafes.
