Bao Lac

Bao Lac is a mountainous area in the west of Cao Bang province in northern Vietnam, near the border with China. It lies in a valley along the Gam River, surrounded by limestone mountains and terraced fields. The area is home to several ethnic minority groups, and its colourful local market and remote roads draw travellers exploring the far north of the country.
