Folly Beach is a small beach town on Folly Island, a barrier island just south of Charleston in South Carolina. Known for its relaxed atmosphere, it has wide sandy beaches, a long fishing pier and some of the most popular surf breaks on the state's coast. Visitors come for swimming, surfing and seafood, and for views of the Morris Island Lighthouse standing offshore at the island's northern end.
