Jaguar Rescue Center - Public Tour
Puerto Viejo
About This Experience
The Jaguar Rescue Center, located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Limón, and managed by the Ceiba Primary Forest Foundation, is an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife with the goal of releasing them back into protected areas. Founded in 2008, for example, in 2023 alone, we received 1,001 animals, of which 348 were released, 97 remained under rehabilitation, and 408 could not survive. Approximately 50% are mammals, while the rest are birds and reptiles.
