Just the two of you and your guide: this private 1.5-hour horseback ride is a romantic way to experience Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. It's especially beautiful at sunset, but you can choose any time you like.
Pick your direction — toward the turquoise water of Punta Uva or along Cocles beach. The ride weaves between jungle and sand, with sloths, monkeys and tropical birds often spotted along the way. On open stretches of beach you can trot or canter at the water's edge at your own pace, since the ride is set entirely around you.
Price is per person; booking is for 2 riders.
What to wear and bring
- Long pants or leggings are recommended for trotting and galloping.
- Shoes are recommended; riding barefoot is also an option.
- Leave the backpack behind — small saddle pockets carry essentials.
- A phone or small camera; your guide is happy to take photos of you both.
