Its saltwater and freshwater lagoons, marshes, mangroves and grasslands support the greatest concentration of wading birds in Central America. More than 270 bird species have been recorded here, and every year thousands of migratory birds come to nest.

After transportation from Samara, you'll board a boat for an unforgettable floating safari, cruising up and down the river to take in the beauty of the wetland ecosystem. Expect to see huge crocodiles sunning on the banks, prehistoric-looking iguanas climbing tree trunks, herons and egrets wading along the shore, monkeys moving through the canopy and tiny lizards darting through the undergrowth.
