Nosara Birdwatching Hike with an Expert Bird Guide
A sunrise birding hike through Nosara's protected forest with a specialist bird guide. Spot dozens of land and water species, learn to identify them, and finish with fresh fruit and coconut water.

Wake Up With Nosara's Birds
Nosara sits where tropical dry forest, mangroves and the Nosara River meet, and that mix of habitats makes it one of the richest birding spots on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. More than 270 species have been recorded around town, from forest dwellers that call from the canopy to herons, kingfishers and ibis that hunt along the riverbanks.
This guided hike follows quiet trails through a protected biological reserve on the edge of Nosara. We recommend starting at 6:00 am, when wildlife is most active and the light is soft for photos, but the walk can be arranged at other times of day.
