Jet Ski Rental on Lake Arenal

Few places let you ride a jet ski at the foot of a volcano. On Lake Arenal, the largest lake in Costa Rica, you get open water, jungle-covered shores and Arenal Volcano in view the whole time.

You ride a 2025 Yamaha VXC, a low-emission jet ski. This is a self-guided rental: no convoy, no guide riding next to you. You explore at your own pace and stay in touch with the team by phone the whole time.

Never driven one before? You get a video tutorial and 15 minutes of training before you set off.

Rules on the water

1. The driver must be at least 18 and is responsible for the jet ski. Teens aged 14 to 17 may drive only with an adult on the same jet ski.
2. Drivers must be completely sober.
3. Turn off the engine 15 meters (45 feet) from any shore or boat, and avoid weeds, logs and shallow water.
4. The jet skis have no reverse, so approach the dock slowly and follow the guide's signal.
5. Rental time starts when the engine is turned on.

Good to know

1. The price is per person, and each guest booked gets their own jet ski. Want to ride two to a jet ski? Contact us and we will arrange it.
2. Please arrive 20 minutes early to complete the rental form and watch the safety video.
3. Want more time on the water? Ask us about 2 or 3 hour rentals.
4. Transport from La Fortuna is not included. Ask us if you need it.
