Dong Hoi

Dong Hoi is a coastal city in north central Vietnam, now part of Quang Tri province and formerly the capital of Quang Binh. It lies where the Nhat Le River meets the sea and is known for its beaches, riverside promenade and the ruins of an old citadel gate and wartime church. The city is the main gateway to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, famous for its vast caves and karst mountains.
