Sitka is a city and borough on Baranof Island in the Alexander Archipelago of southeast Alaska, United States, facing the Pacific Ocean. It was the capital of Russian America, and its Russian, Tlingit and American heritage is reflected in sites such as St. Michael's Cathedral and Sitka National Historical Park with its totem poles.
