Idaho Springs is a small historic city in Clear Creek County, Colorado, in a narrow mountain valley along Interstate 70 west of Denver. It was founded during the Colorado gold rush and retains a Victorian main street along with old mines and mills that offer tours. Visitors stop for hot springs, rafting on Clear Creek, local restaurants and as a gateway to the high peaks of the Front Range.
