USA · Massachusetts
Gloucester is a coastal city on Cape Ann in Massachusetts, north of Boston. Settled in the seventeenth century, it is one of the oldest fishing ports in the United States, and its maritime heritage is honored by the Fisherman's Memorial statue overlooking the harbor. Visitors come for its beaches, whale-watching trips and seafood, as well as the Rocky Neck art colony, one of the oldest working artists' colonies in the country.
