Clearwater is a city in Pinellas County on the Gulf Coast of Florida, west of Tampa. Its best-known attraction is Clearwater Beach, a barrier island with wide white-sand beaches and a lively waterfront around Pier 60, known for its nightly sunset celebrations. Visitors also come for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, boat trips and fishing, and nearby barrier islands such as Caladesi Island State Park.
