Claypool is a small unincorporated community in Gila County, Arizona, located between the towns of Globe and Miami in the copper-mining district east of Phoenix. The area has long been shaped by mining and is surrounded by rugged desert hills and the Pinal Mountains. Visitors pass through on routes toward the Tonto National Forest, Roosevelt Lake and the historic downtown of Globe.
