Breckenridge is a town in Summit County, Colorado, high in the Rocky Mountains at the base of the Tenmile Range. Founded during the nineteenth-century gold rush, it preserves a large historic district of Victorian buildings along its Main Street. Today it is best known for Breckenridge Ski Resort, and visitors come year-round for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, festivals and the town's mining heritage.
