Poole is a large coastal town in Dorset, on the south coast of England, set on Poole Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world. Its historic quay has pubs, restaurants and boat trips, and the Sandbanks peninsula is known for its sandy beaches. Ferries cross the harbour to Brownsea Island, a National Trust nature reserve with red squirrels, and the town is a gateway to the Jurassic Coast.
