Nallathanniya

Nallathanniya, also known as Dalhousie, is a small village in the hill country of Sri Lanka's Central Province, surrounded by tea estates. It is the main starting point for the pilgrimage climb up Adam's Peak, known locally as Sri Pada, a sacred mountain revered by several religious traditions. During the pilgrimage season many visitors climb through the night to reach the summit in time for sunrise.
