Bodo is a coastal city and the administrative center of Nordland county in northern Norway, located just north of the Arctic Circle. It is known for the Saltstraumen tidal current nearby, among the strongest in the world, and for sea eagles along its coastline. Visitors come for the midnight sun in summer and the northern lights in winter, and the city is a main gateway to the Lofoten Islands.
