Bhuj is a historic city in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India, and the main administrative centre of the region. Formerly the capital of the princely state of Kutch, it is known for palaces such as the Aina Mahal and Prag Mahal and for Hamirsar Lake. Bhuj is a base for exploring the white salt desert of the Great Rann of Kutch and the surrounding villages renowned for embroidery, textiles and other traditional crafts.
