Nessebar is an ancient town on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, in Burgas Province, with its old town set on a small rocky peninsula linked to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. Its long history is reflected in medieval churches, stone and timber houses and fortification remains, and the old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It lies next to the Sunny Beach resort, drawing visitors for both history and beaches.
